Important Notice Regarding the Application of DRI-ONE Flame Retardant in Various Weather Conditions
Dear Valued Customers,
At Desert Research Institute, we are committed to ensuring not only the effectiveness of our DRI-ONE Flame Retardant products but also the safety and satisfaction of our customers during its application. To achieve the best results and maintain the highest standards of safety, it’s crucial to consider the environmental conditions during the application process.
Ideal Conditions for Application:
DRI-ONE is a water-based formula, and its performance is closely tied to the ambient weather conditions, particularly temperature and humidity.
1. Temperature Considerations:
· The optimal temperature range for applying DRI-ONE is between 50°F (10°C) and 85°F (29°C).
· Temperatures below 50°F can significantly slow down the drying time and affect the efficacy of the flame retardant. This is due to the water-based nature of DRI-ONE, which is prone to freezing and reduced evaporation rates in cold weather.
· In warmer conditions, up to 85°F, DRI-ONE dries at an ideal rate, ensuring proper adhesion and effectiveness.
2. Weather Conditions:
· DRI-ONE should ideally be applied in dry weather conditions.
· Avoid application during rainy or excessively humid conditions, as high moisture levels in the air can hinder proper drying and curing of the product.
· In regions experiencing monsoon weather or heavy rainfall, it is advisable to plan the application during a clear weather window to ensure optimal drying.
3. Guidelines for Application:
· Always check the local weather forecast before planning your application of DRI-ONE.
· Allow for extended drying times if you are applying the product in temperatures closer to, or below the 50°F threshold.
· DO NOT apply or attempt to dry DRI-ONE in freezing temperatures. Since the product is water-based, freezing conditions will alter flame retardant formula composition and effectiveness.
